This project rethinks the consumption of goods by making industrial processes transparent, local, and adaptable. At its core is a lighting system that is fully remouldable thanks to its 100% natural wax composition. The wax blend developped by Baguette Studio can whitstand 80°c before deforming, is biodegradable and from renewable sources.
Using a rotational moulding technique borrowed from the plastics industry, each lamp is made on-site in under 45 minutes. Designed to be reshaped through local micro-production points, the lamp becomes an evolving product, fostering a more sustainable relationship with objects.
All lamps are given a specific weight (400g , 800g, 1600g) to enable waste-free remelting.
The customer can easily switch between two lamps without adding any material. The collection consists of two table lamps, a wall lamp and a hanging lamp. Each lamp can be used in every orientation thanks to the modular base. The stainless steel base can be reused in other objects after dismantling, via OpenStructures.
